About Anchorage Spinal Care in Anchorage

We’ve been delivering quality chiropractic care to the Anchorage area since 1978.

Heath is our most valuable possession, without it other things we treasure (ie. savings, homes, vacations) become less significant.  Since everyone in this world is unique, our treatments are customized for each individual.  Often people come in after they’ve had a recent accident, but frequently they have had other injuries leading to a demise of their health condition over the years.  For example, high school sports injuries, previous auto accidents, job stresses such as heavy lifting, or even simple slips and falls on the ice. (anyone make it thru an Alaskan winter without slipping and falling on the ice?)  The affects of these prior injures will accumulate over time.  This leads to deterioration of our body’s joints leading to early conditions such as arthritis.  How can we enjoy all the fun Alaskan adventures when in pain?  Our desire is to help each person to return to all the activities that they love.

1. Relief Care

Relief or wellness care... it's your choice.

Relief or wellness care… it’s your choice.

When many people seek care in our Anchorage practice they have one goal: relief. So that’s where we start! During this initial stage of intensive care, we have several obligations:

  • Uncover the underlying cause of the health problem
  • Discuss alternative treatment options if needed
  • Provide a care plan to produce the maximum results with the minimum of care
  • Offer ways practice members can participate in their recovery
  • Explain the value of post-symptomatic corrective care, and wellness care

2. Corrective Care

  • Reestablishes the normal bony “vertebral” relationships and curve that you had prior to life’s many traumas
  • Can provide long standing relief and long term spinal stability
  • This is analogous to your experience with others having orthodontic braces applied to straighten their teeth
  • Bracing normally takes 2-4 years however cervical “neck” curves can be reestablished in one year
  • 80% of the time this can be accomplished in as little as 12 weeks of continuous care
  • The neck vertebra house all of the nerves descending from the brain to all parts of the body, therefore eliminating nerve interference to this part of the spine affects the whole body (ie. even low back pain)

3. Wellness Care for Anchorage

We encourage our practice members to achieve the highest levels of health they can. Through educational opportunities (like this website), we hope to communicate the value of ongoing chiropractic care. Our desire is to see our practice members abandon the prevailing sickness care model of health (waiting for symptoms and then taking action), in favor of the emerging wellness model.

You’re in Charge

Regardless of your health goals, please understand that we see ourselves as mere servants. You’re the boss! It’s your body, your health and your future. Our job is to offer you the finest chiropractic care possible, and it’s up to you to decide how much of it you want.

Low Back Pain

KevinI was jumping on a trampoline when I landed on a hidden stump that was under it. OUCH! My low back was achy and numb for two months and it was painful going from sitting to standing. Since I’ve been seeing Dr. Ketz I’m moving great now, and removing stumps. ~Kevin C.

Neck and back pain

I’ve had lower back pain for about 5 months that has been a constant achy pain and even some numbness in my leg. Sitting for any length of time, bending forward, or trying to lift anything would be very painful. After going to Anchorage Spinal Care my pain is much more manageable and all my daily activities are so much easier. ~Theresa H.

Headaches, Neck Pain, Knee Pain, and Back Pain

I had been dealing with headaches, neck, knee, and back pain due to to bad posture, martial arts accident, and old age. There was a constant stabbing pain in my knee and back and my headaches would last for hours. I would have trouble standing for over 15 minutes, kneeling down, and working with students. Since chiropractic care my knee pain is gone, posture is much better, and the headaches have decreased dramatically. My back has gotten better and being educated on new habits has really helped me overall. ~Luke S.

Low Back Pain

About 27 years ago when I was pregnant with my child I started noticing there was an ache and stabbing pain in my low back. Ever since then its been going on and off for years and the pain would last for hours. Since chiropractic treatment I have felt a huge difference. After getting adjustments and therapies regularly I am able to get thru the days activities without any pain or discomfort. ~Penny M.
